The Providence Mercantile Campus may be sold to a retail developer named CenterCal Properties.
CenterCal is required to have a neighborhood meeting with interested residents, property and business owners, and current complex tenants before they submit their development application with the City of Lake Oswego.
CenterCal has built other large retail facilities in our area like Bridgeport Village, Nyberg Crossing, Nyberg Rivers and Cascade Station. Each of these facilities relies on large anchor stores. They are proposing a large specialty organic-grocery-store as an anchor for this site.
To learn more about CenterCal’s ambitious plans for redevelopment on this 8.3 acre property including the grassy vacant land on Hallmark Drive, please plan to attend a meeting they are hosting on:
Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 6:30 pm
3975 Mercantile Drive, Suite 235 (Booktique bldg.)
This meeting will also give you the opportunity to ask questions, share your concerns and comments that may impact CenterCal’s redevelopment plans for this site.
Once CenterCal submits their development application to the City and it is deemed complete, a Public Hearing will be scheduled with the LO Development Review Commission (DRC), where you will be given another opportunity to give oral/written testimony regarding their plans. Their plans could change between the March 23rd meeting and the time their application is completed and the LO planning staff report is prepared for DRC. So staying “on top” of this re-development by giving public testimony to the DRC will also be critical. Further notification on DRC’s public hearing date, time and place will follow.
